So we had an earthquake here in Japan. Literally twenty minutes ago. Not a little one- those happen daily and half the time I don't notice them. It was a 6.0 and only a few miles from my house, so I definitely felt it. Our house wobbled around us and our possessions all shook, some fell to the floor. Twink looked at us with panic in his face and Aaron and I just stared at each other, with him taking my hand, and feeling our world shake around us. And as my world was threatening to come down around me all I could think was
as long as we have each other we'll be okay.
I don't often post cheesy things (gross) but I have to say it.
This man makes my world.
I absolutely adore him.
Scary! Glad you're okay.
ReplyDeleteVery scary! I'm glad you're okay.
ReplyDeleteOn a different note, that dog is SO CUTE!
eek. so glad everyone is ok and that Aaron protected you and Twink!
ReplyDeleteOh, my goodness- that's crazy! Also, I am so glad you are ok. I'd still be shaking if I were you, the thought of the earth moving like that.... *shudder*
ReplyDeleteOh. Wow.
ReplyDeleteThat is a bit frightening.
I've never been in an earthquake and "noticed" it before. I say that, because there have been times when a mild earthquake was recorded, but I had no idea it was going on.
I could almost swear that driving home from school today, something felt a little different (steering my car-wise) but haven't heard anything about any earthquake...
glad you're ok :)
oh dear! so glad you are all safe and sound!! It sounds so freaky. Ive only felt a slight aftershock here in az..so going through a 6.0 would be so cary!
ReplyDeleteoh my gosh! I'm glad you are okay!
ReplyDeleteSorry about the earthquake! Scary! There was one that came through Virginia, but it was maybe a 5.0 and didn't last long - I just thought the train was going by. I'm glad you're okay!
ReplyDeleteAlso - guess what came in the mail today? Your amazing prize package! So encouraging! Thank you so much!!
aw, sweet post!! and so glad you guys are ok!! Earthquakes can feel so scary!
ReplyDeleteArgh. Earthquakes = really not cool, especially ones of that size! I would have freaked out too!
ReplyDeleteWe have reasonably regular earthquakes/aftershocks here too, but fortunately we haven't had any of that size for awhile! :O
One of my worst nightmares. I'm so glad you're okay.
ReplyDeleteHere in Tennessee we have only had one eartquake and both my husband and I slept through it. I am gald we did I am not sure what I would think.
ReplyDeleteGeeeeez, I can't even imagine! It does put things into perspective though...and I'd probably feel the exact same way!
ReplyDeleteYikes! I've been through a few big ones and they are usually over before you really think about how scary it should be! Glad there was no harm done.
ReplyDeleteI like that he grabbed your hand, my BF did that when we were in a roll over truck crash once.
Omgoodness! I'm so glad you're okay! That is scary. It really is the little things that matter the most.
