Homemade Oreos.

Feb 5, 2012

This is a homemade Oreo. They're sinfully delicious. Aaron asked me to please put them all in his lunch today. He wishes! He'll get a few though. The best part about these tasty little treats? They're super easy to make. This is my Aunt Jill's recipe (I'm not sure where she got it from).

2 German chocolate cake mixes
1 cup shortening (butter flavored)
4 eggs
Mix together
Roll into balls
Bake at 350 for 12 minutes
Frost with cream cheese frosting
and stick 2 cookies together
Done.

Lastly, a word of caution:
Don't make these cookies.
You'll want to eat them all.

  1. My favourite cookie is the Oreo by far so I was so excited to see these!!! I will definitely be trying them. Although I will take your warning to heart...I'll ship them off to my husband and his office mates asap to make sure I don't eat them all :S

  3. Oh those look DELICIOUS! Are they soft and chewy, or crunchy like real oreos?
