I've loved this quote from the first time I read it. It must have been years ago, I really can't remember. It stuck in my mind. I love it so much I even customized it to hang up in my daughter's room. This speaks to me on a deeper level. Can you imagine a love where you give and give and never expect anything in return? I try and have a love like that with my husband. I don't always succeed. But I have learned that if I give to him he gives back to me. I do have a love like that with my daughter. It's easy right now because she's only 2 1/2 months old. I can't expect anything back from her. But I hope as she grows older I'll continue to give her this unconditional love, never expecting anything in return. Maybe I can be an example to her. Maybe I can teach her that the more love you give the more love you receive. I hope I can show her that a love like that lights the whole room, and perhaps the whole sky.

Deep down inside I'm a hopeless romantic. I believe in love and happy endings. But I'm not a mushy person so it's quite the contradiction. One thing I'm really struggling with right now is writing my wedding vows. I can write Aaron a letter and it could be the most cheesy, romantic, mushy thing you'll ever read. I have no problem writing down my feelings and love for him. But to write something that I then have to read out loud in front of people? I don't know how to do that. I'm working on it though because I want everyone to know exactly how I feel about him. While I'm concentrating on writing my vows I'm trying to keep two things in mind that help me with this process. 

I sing Aaron a silly little song when he's down and it cheers him up and reminds him how very much I love him. 

This is exactly how I feel about my soon-to-be husband. 

So go ahead, call me cheesy. I don't care.

I want to share a favorite quote.

Some of the greater things in life are unseen, that's why you close your eyes when you kiss, cry or dream.

When I was 6 years old my Grandma said to me

I'm a little bit obsessed with the Post Secret blog. It's updated every Sunday. If you've never read it or heard about it you really should take a peak. It's worth the 5 minutes you will spend looking at it. Post Secret is when you make your own postcard with a secret on it and mail it in. You don't put a name or return address on it. It's a secret that you release from yourself into the world. Some are sad, some funny, some happy, some absolutely heartbreaking. 

Every time I read the Post Secret blog I think about what I would write on a postcard to mail in. It's different each week, usually depending on what's been on my mind. But for me the best part about Post Secret is when I read one and say, hey, this person is just like me. It's a connection to another person that I wouldn't have found any other way. And even though I don't know who wrote it or anything about them except this one little secret it's comforting to know that I'm not alone in the world.

I have a favorite quote that has really put my life into perspective this year.  To say it's been a hard year would be an understatement.  I have been kicked, beaten, pushed around, fallen down, and somehow I've gotten back up.  Through it all I've just kept going.  I didn't know I had that kind of strength.

"This is my perfect nightmare so when will I wake up and scream?"

She's off in her own little world.

If you're doing something you can't live with then you probably shouldn't do it. It's your life and in the end you're the one who has to live with it.
