Snail Mail Friends

Apr 15, 2012

I love getting mail. Absolutely love it! I get so excited when I go to check the post office and I see there's a package waiting for me. Aaron gets a little jealous of the mail I get so occasionally I have packages shipped to him too. Just to make things fair. But today I want to ask my lovely blogger friends, do you want to be more than blogger friends? I love snail mail friends. I have a pen pal (hi Janey!) and I adore her. Now I want more friends to send mail to. I don't really care what it is. A letter, a card, a picture of the street you grew up on, an art project you did, a page from a coloring book, a pebble you tripped over in the middle of the sidewalk that made you look incredibly uncoordinated to everyone around you (this happens to me all the time). I want it all and I'll send it all. So if you want to be snail mail friends email me your address and I'll put something in the mail for you this week! It will be the beginning of something beautiful called
"I want more than bills in my mailbox."

Merry Christmas Eve!

Dec 23, 2011

My sweet husband gets a 4 day weekend for Christmas and we're enjoying every minute of it. We have lots of fun plans and new family traditions to start (since we are a new family, after all) and our holiday will be full of love and joy. I'm especially grateful this year that we can simply spend the holidays together instead of thousands of miles apart. Sometimes it's the little things... Merry Christmas Eve!

Whole New World.

Today is an exciting day. Today is the day I get on a plane. My bags are packed. My boxes are shipping. My room looks empty. My goodbyes are said. I'm ready to go. And at the end of a very long trip (over a day of traveling!) I get to see my husband!
I am so excited!

I Am Awesome.

Babies, Pineapple & Cheese Soup.

Apr 14, 2011

Today has been fun and very unexpected. When I woke up this morning I had no idea I'd be spending the day watching a 4-year-old, twin 3-year-olds & a 1 year-old but that is exactly what happened. And truly, they could not be cuter girls.

We had a very active busy day and they enjoyed every minute of it. Happily, so did I.
Also, my mommy bought me a pineapple. It was heavenly.

I decided to make myself & the girls cheese soup for lunch today. I've been craving something warm and cheesy & this hit the spot just right. I looked through several cookbooks and none of the recipes appealed to me so I took tips from them all and made up my own. It turned out cheesy, tasty & completely wonderful. I ate it with warm french bread & a glass of milk. Perfect, especially since it snowed again today!

I hope that your day was as happy as mine!
