Birthday Week.

Mar 30, 2010

This year instead of celebrating just one day I celebrated Birthday Week. I sort of felt like I needed a major pick-me-up in my life. It started with homemade tacos with Melissa on Wednesday. Thursday was my actual birthday and my sweet Mommy took me to IHOP for breakfast. We took Alison and her girls with us too so there was plenty of entertainment. Katie sat sweetly in her chair and watched while Claire and Maggie put on a show for the whole restaurant. They're all so much fun and definitely made breakfast more exciting!

After breakfast my mommy took me to the store and bought me a birthday present. Super Mario Brothers for the wii is so much fun. I spent the afternoon playing it with Mom and Jordan to discover that it's not as easy to play with three people on the screen as you would think. It was still so much fun though.

Cori came home after school and proceeded to kick all our butts at it. My goal is to get good enough that when Joe gets home I'm better than him for at least 5 minutes. After that he'll be back on top but those 5 minutes will be awesome.

After school got out Katelyn and I went shopping and to get pedicures. We ended up buying the exact same shirt and necklace because they were so cute.

It's a little hard to see but we both have cute little flowers on our toes. The pedicures were so nice, a little foot bubble bath and leg massage... so relaxing!

Friday Jordan came home from Idaho to spend the weekend with me. We went to a concert at a coffee bar for a bunch of local bands. It was pretty fun but I forgot to capture the night with pictures.

Saturday we went to Katelyn's dance performance and then to lunch. Jordan and I went to the mall, which is where I found this amazing t-shirt. Then we went to see Diary of a Wimpy Kid which was so funny. Then the main event began. What was originally just a few friends going to dinner snowballed into a bunch of us. Luckily I thrive in big groups! Here's just a few fun shots of the night.

The birthday girl showing off her blue steel. It's almost good enough to stop chinese throwing stars. Almost.

The whole dinner group, Jarom, Chaely, Stef, Amber, Jordan, Sue, Melissa, Shelly, Aaron, Tristan, Cait, Kelsi, Katelyn, Talysa, Jordan & Sean.

Delicious pineapple chicken. It came in a pineapple.

Shelly & Aaron being amazing at bowling.

The girls team was Team Awesome and the boys team was Team Not Awesome. Unfortunately Team Not Awesome killed Team Awesome by about 150 points. I got the best score by far with a 69. Aaron lost with a 133. After bowling we went back to my house and played Mario Kart and Super Mario Brothers on my wii. It was a great night.

Sunday night my Claire's girls took me to dinner at The Cheesecake Factory. It was so much fun and they enjoyed embarrassing me with the hot waiter. I sure love those girls.

Monday was the official end to Birthday Week with Chelsey taking me to dinner at California Pizza Kitchen. We had a great girlfriend bonding night and it really helped to take my mind off things.

Overall, Birthday Week was amazing. I'm looking forward to celebrating it again next year!
