A Creative Keyboard

Jun 4, 2012

Did you ever notice how boring keyboards are? I've seen a few fun ones flying around the internet but I'll be honest- I love the simplicity of a small, wireless Apple keyboard. That doesn't mean I don't want a little creativity thrown in there. I also didn't want something permanent. My blog is proof of how often I like to change things up! The solution? Washi Tape. my.favorite.thing. And since I'm super cool really lucky, I live in Japan and can find it at any stationary story.
I was lucky enough to find lettered Washi Tape & I stuck with green & pink stripes as the alternates. I also didn't do the entire keyboard but I can always change that in the future.
And the best part? It doesn't leave sticky residue. When I get bored of this design I can peel it off. Or use my other Washi Tape to make a completely new design. The possibilities are endless. Like I said, my.favorite.thing.

Sunday Favorites

Jun 2, 2012

Hooray for Sunday Favorites! I found some great web links this week. Of course I always think that but I hope some of you agree with me.

I'm obsessed with the lace jewelry in this shop. It's so beautiful!

Jenn shared her awesome $2 manicure this week. I love the color she used!

Shane shared this beautiful story that you should definitely go watch. It's worth it!

These Caprese Bites look so delicious. I LOVE tomatoes & mozzarella and would probably eat 100 before I noticed they were all missing.

This is a beautiful post written about depression and learning to laugh because of the rain.

Kristina is having a linky party about healthy living this month and I'm really excited for it.

And this might be the funniest picture I've seen in a long time. I'm pretty sure I laughed for an hour.

Have a beautiful Sunday my lovelies.

Speak Up {link up}

I know you've seen me talk about Speak Now before, I even had Miss Ellie do a guest post for us back in February when Speak Now was just a baby. Well, it's still a baby, but it's growing. Today we're doing a link up to help spread the word of Speak Now. You don't have to post anything special to be a part of this link up. Just link up your blog below. Visit the Speak Now website. Click around. Maybe meet some new friends. And remember that it's important to empower women, young and old, because we are each other's support. If you want to know more, Ellie is visiting again to share with us.

We are so incredibly thrilled that you've come to join us today!
My name is Ellie Coburn, owner and founder of the Speak Now Organization.
We are a very new organization founded for young women empowerment.

We work hands on, through the power of social media to spread awareness about the importance and value of young women loving themselves. Founded in February 2012, we are working round the clock to create an online environment full of resource and reassurance.

Today is about linking up and spreading awareness to those of you who may not have heard of us yet.
Please take a look around our site and keep in mind that we are still in the process of getting into the groove of things.

Each detail is crafted with young women in mind.
We at Speak Now have this dream-
to inspire, empower, create, educate, and love young women internationally.

We want to see young women have faith in themselves, their beliefs, values, and aspirations.

Let's soar together.

Link up below, head on over to Speak Now and follow our journey via GFC, Facebook, or Twitter, and start spreading the word.

Each "like" or organization receives on Facebook funds a dime to the storefront teen shelter in San Diego, California.

For more information on us please head on over and read the "about" section of our site.

If you have ideas, want to get involved, or want more information- please contact us here.

Browse our site for inspiring posts and to learn more about our dreams and goals for the future of our organization.

Woman must not accept; she must challenge. She must not be awed by that which has been built up around her; she must reverence that woman in her which struggles for expression.
